What we cover

• Slate roofs: replacing broken or slipped slates and localised repairs
• Flat roofs: extensions, garages and garden rooms

Signs to look out for

• Slipped or broken slates
• Ponding water sitting on a flat roof
• Cracks, blisters or splits in a flat roof covering
• Damp in an extension, garage or garden room
• Slate debris in gutters after windy weather

How we work

Slate roofs are usually repaired slate by slate, replacing what has slipped or broken. Flat roofs are assessed on the condition of the whole covering — sometimes a repair is enough, sometimes the covering has reached the end of its life. We explain which applies to yours and why.

What affects the cost

• How many slates need replaced, or the size of the flat roof
• The condition of what is underneath
• The covering material chosen for a flat roof
• Access to the area
