Roof Cleaning & Inspections in Forres

Cleaning & Inspections for Forres homes

Forres gets drier weather than much of Scotland but still sees strong westerly gales and hard frosts that loosen ridges and crack chimney pointing. Moss holds moisture against the covering and blocks gutters as it washes down. We clear it properly, clear the gutters afterwards and tell you about anything else we notice while we are up there.

Forres has plenty of traditional stone and slate buildings, plus newer housing with tiled roofs and flat-roofed extensions.

What we cover

• Roof inspections
• Gutter clearing
• Moss removal and roof cleaning
• Roof coatings, where suitable

Signs to look out for

• Heavy moss on slates or tiles
• Blocked or overflowing gutters
• You are buying a property or want peace of mind
• It has been a long time since the roof was looked at
• You can see slipped slates or damage from the ground

How we work

We look over the roof, point out anything that needs attention and advise on the cleaning or maintenance that suits it. Not every roof benefits from cleaning or coating, so we will tell you honestly what yours needs — including if the answer is nothing right now. That honesty is what you want from a cleaning and inspections company: advice first, work only where it helps.

What affects the cost

• The size and pitch of the roof
• How much moss or debris needs removed
• Whether gutters need cleared as well
• Access around the property
